Construction Safety Week 2026 is a reminder of what drives us every day at Hausmann: protecting our people while creating a culture where safety is never an afterthought. We build safety into everything we do, and our industry-low EMR of 0.54 reflects that commitment. But we don’t stop at performance. This year, our team is focused on a few key areas to continue elevating safety across every job site.
Dedicated Safety Leadership
Our dedicated safety team and leadership set the tone for every project by driving accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement in the field. Through proactive planning, regular site engagement, and clear communication, they ensure safety expectations are understood and upheld at every level.
OSHA Partnership on Active Projects
We’re strengthening our collaboration with OSHA through a formal partnership on the Arbor Correctional Center project, for an added layer of oversight, accountability, and shared commitment to safety. This proactive approach fosters open communication, reinforces best practices, and ensures every jobsite is aligned with the highest safety standards from day one.
Enhanced Subcontractor Vetting Through Prequalification
We’re raising the bar for subcontractor selection by utilizing a prequalification system to evaluate safety performance before contract award. Subcontractors are vetted based on key metrics like TRIR, DART, and EMR, ensuring we partner with teams who share our commitment to safety and accountability. This data-driven approach helps us build stronger teams and safer job sites from the start.
Raising the Bar with Safety
Safety at Hausmann is always evolving. It’s driven by identifying risk early, putting the right systems in place, and holding ourselves to a higher standard every time. Because building the best starts with protecting our people.
